The University of Saskatchewan is getting $1.5 million in federal funding grant money to help establish a new Aboriginal think-tank.

The Aboriginal Learning Knowledge Centre is aimed at boosting graduation rates for First Nations and Metis students, in addition to pooling academic expertise and resources.

The centre will also share new approaches that have proven to be effective in developing Aboriginal learning.

Four other centres are being created across the rest of the country.
