Waterhen Chief Decides Not To Seek Re-Election

The longtime chief of the Waterhen Lake First Nation has decided not to run for another term.

Sid Fiddler’s name is not among the list of those seeking the chief’s position in the upcoming December 12th band election.

Instead, voters will choose from six candidates. They include Dora Buxton, Michael Ernest, Judy Fiddler, Richard Fiddler, Robert Fiddler and Emily Larocque.

As well, thirty people are running for council.
