Aboriginal Representation In Management Growing

A business leader says he is seeing an increase in the number of First Nations and Metis workers who are entering middle management positions in the province.
However, Steve McLellan, the CEO of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, says more are still needed.
He notes Aboriginal employees have tasted success within the gaming industry, and he expects that trend to continue in the construction and mining sectors.
Meanwhile, McLellan says he is thrilled with the appointment of Richard Ahenakew as the chamber’s new board chair.
The appointment was announced last month, but Ahenakew was officially sworn in last night.
