Accident Claims Life

A 16-year-old girl is dead after an accident on the Ahtahkakoop First Nation.

According to Shellbrook RCMP the collision occurred Wednesday evening around 11 p.m.

The girl and a 17 year-old boy were walking down grid-road 790 when they were hit by a truck,.

The boy remains in critical condition while charges are pending against the 19 year-old driver of the truck.

No names have been released.
