It’s that time of year again.

Today marks the first day of the 13th Annual John Arcand Fiddle Fest just outside Saskatoon.

Every year, thousands of people from across North America, and even Europe, come to Windy Acres to enjoy fiddle music.

Ever since the fiddle fest began, Art Franks has made the nine-hour drive from Manitoba to volunteer.

Franks says he loves the atmosphere.

Workshops run today and tomorrow with fiddle and jigging competitions beginning on Saturday.

The finals will be held on Sunday.
