The RCMP have charged six men in connection to the recent killing of Indian Posse co-founder Daniel Richard Wolfe at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary.
The Mounties say they responded to a “stabbing complaint” at the prison during the noon hour of January 4th.
The penitentiary was put in a state of lockdown after what the Correctional Service of Canada called a “fight” in the prison’s maximum security unit involving at least 10 inmates.
Two inmates were hospitalized following the ruckus.
Twenty-six-year-old Jacob Worm and 27-year-old Tristan Raphael have both been charged with second-degree murder, in addition to two counts of attempted murder.
Four others — 27-year-old Ryan Agecoutay, 23-year-old Michael Slippery, 19-year-old Nolan Turcotte and 34-year-old Francis Yukon — are facing a charge of manslaughter, as well as two counts of attempted murder.
The suspects will be making their first court appearances tomorrow in Prince Albert by video link.
The RCMP say the matter remains under investigation.
