Chief Challenges Peers To Donate Cash To FNUC

The chief of Saskatchewan’s Chacachas First Nation is issuing a challenge to other chiefs and councils — contribute some money to the First Nations University of Canada.

Cameron Watson says his band has donated $1000 to the financially-struggling school.

He thinks that every First Nation should donate whatever it can to help the cause.

Watson says even though the board is now de-politicized, chiefs still need to support the institution.

He says two of his daughters are FNUC graduates.
