Cote Chief Re-Elected To New Term

The Cote First Nation has re-elected Chief Norman Whitehawk for his fourth term since 2000.

Whitehawk beat out challenger George Cote by 61 votes.

Nearly 1,100 members of the community voted in this election.

Four new members were also added to council — Josie Cote, Randy Friday, George Torangeau and Cheryl Cadotte.

Cote has more than 3,000 registered members.
