Cowessess First Nation hosted an Open House in Regina last night to promote their new wind power project.
The project will consist of a 100-metre high wind turbine to be built on the band’s urban reserve located south east of Regina.
Chief Grady Lerat says the location is for the future—and to show that green power works.
Clifton Associates Ltd are responsible for completing an environmental study and a draft will be completed in August.
Lerat says he would like the project to be up and running by 2012.
