The faculty of the First Nations University in Regina are showcasing their programs and departments today at a mini-conference.

The school wants people to discover the “FNUniv Difference.”

Linguistics professor Olga Lovick says they want to show that while the academic programs of the FNUC are different, they are not inferior.

Lovick adds the programs at the university include more than just Indigenous studies.

She says topics of today’s lectures include teepee geometry and native plant education.

There are also fine arts workshops, as well as a Cree language lesson.
