An awareness walk for missing and murdered Aboriginal women began today in Saskatoon.
Around 40 people walked in Saskatoon as part of the Daleen Bosse Muskego Awareness Walk and Memorial Run.
Bosse went missing in May 2004 and was found in 2008.
Shortly after, Douglas Hales was charged with first-degree murder, for which he will stand trial.
Her mother, Pauline Muskego, says participating in these walks helps her family, saying: “This is healing for us”.
The memorial run begins tomorrow.
Runners will start at the location where Bosse’s body was found two years ago and run to Onion Lake by Friday.
