Female Teen Charged In Relation To La Loche Death

La Loche RCMP say they intend to lay charges against an 18-year-old woman following the death of a 45-year-old man in the community earlier this week.

Police say the woman is facing weapon and assault charges for injuries sustained by the victim prior to his death on Monday.

The body of the man was found in a backyard.

Investigators say his death is classified as suspicious.

The man’s identity has not been released.

The cause of death and the name of the suspect have also not been released.

The suspect has been released from custody, and will be making a court appearance in La Loche on September 13th.
