A man credited with being the whistleblower on the previous administration at the First Nations University of Canada is back at the school.
Murray Westerlund was fired as the university’s chief financial officer a few months ago, but has accepted an invitation to return to the FNUC.
Westerlund was terminated after raising allegations of financial irregularities at the university.
FNUC Students Association president Diane Adams says his return is another sign that the school’s troubled financial past is over, and she says there is no reason for the federal government to continue withholding millions of dollars in funding.
