A four-week trial has been set for a Prince Albert man accused of killing a 16 year-old girl from the Montreal Lake Cree Nation.

Cody Halkett will appear before a judge and jury from October 18th to November 12th.

He was charged after the body of the teenager was discovered outside a Prince Albert business in May of last year.

Halkett, who was 19 at the time of his arrest, is currently in custody.

He faces one count of second-degree murder.
