Incident Involving SWAT Team, Fatality Connected

Police in Prince Albert are confirming that an incident yesterday in the city that required the SWAT team to be deployed was connected to a fatality earlier in the day.

Late Thursday afternoon several armed officers converged on a house in the midtown district, down toward the river.

No one was hurt but officers were on the scene for quite a while.

This came just hours after the body of a 35 year-old man was found at a home just blocks away.

Police say several arrests have been made but they continue to look for other subjects of interest in the investigation.

The name of the deceased is still being withheld so the family can be notified.
