The Law Society of Saskatchewan is shedding more light on why a high-profile Metis lawyer was recently suspended.

Tim Huber says the interim suspension was laid against Michelle Leclair-Harding because she has not been communicating with the law society about some outstanding issues.

Huber says a complaint was laid against her, and they need her cooperation to investigate it and get both sides of the story.

He says that despite numerous letters and phone calls from the society, Leclair-Harding has not made herself available.

Huber adds a provincial court in Alberta is also complaining.
