Man Missing Near La Ronge Said He Was Being Chased

More volunteers are needed in the search for a missing man in the La Ronge area.

 

George James was last heard from on Far Reserve Road at around 2:30 Friday morning, where he made a call to police on a cell phone indicating he was in distress and needing assistance.

 

Local tracker Tom Charles says the man indicated he was lost in the bush and that something was chasing him.

 

Communication was lost during the call to police, but the coordinates from a cell phone tower were used to determine that James was in the La Ronge area.

 

Charles says authorities don’t have a description of James, and don’t know who he is or where he resides.

 

Organizers of the search are asking for more volunteers. Anyone interested is being asked to head to the Jonas Roberts Memorial Community Centre.
