Motorists Arrested In Meadow Lake In Pot Bust

Two people are facing drug charges after a traffic stop turned into a drug bust in Meadow Lake.

RCMP say a vehicle was pulled over around 5:00 p.m. yesterday.

Mounties say a search of the vehicle turned up about $750 worth of marijuana, including 100 joints.

Forty-eight-year-old Marlys Bear and a 17-year-old boy were arrested.

The charges include possession for the purpose of trafficking and operating an unregistered vehicle.

Both were released and are scheduled to appear in court next month.
