A funeral is being held this afternoon for two men who drowned on Deschambault Lake.

Steven Ballantyne and Roderick Eninew, both 32 years of age, were reported missing on June 12th.

They had been on an island with other members of a recreational fishing group when they left to go to another location.

That’s the last time anyone saw them alive.

Searches were launched on the ground, water and in the air — but they failed to turn up anything until last week.

An official at the RCMP’s Deschambault Lake detachment says their bodies were recovered from the lake on July 1st.

They were found in the same general area between two islands.
