Young people in northern Saskatchewan are getting a chance to learn all about hip hop culture.

Dr. Charity Marsh from the University of Regina is leading a team of people to teach beat-making, deejaying, and breakdancing.

After the training, two people from each community will come to Regina for a week so they can learn to teach the skills to others.

Marsh says this ensures sustainability.

The group has already been to Sandy Bay, La Ronge and Pinehouse, and this week they will be in Ile-a-la-Crosse and La Loche.
