Prince Albert’s chief of police is looking to crack down on violence in the city.

Over the past month some cab drivers have been robbed, people shot, and the SWAT team has been deployed three times.

Dale McFee says he’ll be talking to groups including the RCMP about a strategy to suppress armed individuals.

Mcfee says the new strategy won’t alter the department’s focus on social issues either.
