A new program designed to help Aboriginal businesses grow is looking for business people in the province.

The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business is running the Aboriginal Business Mentorship Program in four provinces, including Saskatchewan.

Entrepreneurs will be paired with mentors who have business experience in a variety of fields.

Program coordinator Joseph Bastien says the program is looking for Aboriginal business people who can clearly articulate what their challenges and goals are.

Bastien says the goals of the program are to see the proteges achieve their goals and potentially become next year’s mentors, and for the mentors to gain valuable volunteer experience while learning about Aboriginal culture.

The application deadline is May 1st.
