RCMP Search For Driver In Reserve Hit-And-Run

RCMP are saying the driver involved in a hit-and-run on the Whitebear First Nation over the weekend may not have realized what happened.

That’s because the victim in this case, a 41-year-old local man, was laying on the road at the time — and there was also another vehicle approaching from the opposite direction.

The Mounties say it happened at approximately 10:00 Sunday night on the reserve’s main grid road.

The victim suffered severe injuries, but he is expected to survive — and is now listed in serious but stable condition at a hospital in Regina.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a dark-coloured pickup truck with the driver’s side headlight burnt out.
