A 24-year-old woman faces a charge of assault with a weapon following a stabbing on the Montreal Lake Cree Nation.
Mounties say it was around 2:00 Saturday morning when officers were alerted to the stabbing at a house on Bird Avenue.
When they arrived on the scene, they found a man who had been lacerated in the abdomen.
The male victim was sent to hospital — and, at last word, was in serious but stable condition.
The suspect appeared before a judge on Saturday evening in Prince Albert and was released from custody.
She is due back in a Montreal Lake courtroom on August 5th.
