Discussion over the future of resource revenue sharing in the north begins tonight.
The South Bay campground between Beauval and Ile-a-la-Crosse is the setting for the two-day summit.
Dignitaries from the FSIN and Metis Nation are expected to be in attendance along with local MLA Buckley Belanger.
MNS regional director Louis Gardiner says revenue sharing is an issue that has been out there for years.
The intent of the gathering is to hear from grass-roots residents and formulate a strategy for the future.
Opening ceremonies begin tonight at 7 p.m. with the bulk of the discussion set for tomorrow.
Organizers say everyone is welcome.
