Searchers Recover Body Of Missing Man

RCMP have recovered the body of a missing Aboriginal man in the Qu’Appelle River.

Lyndon Toto’s body was discovered early this afternoon near the surface of the river by RCMP searchers who were searching the area by boat.

The 20-year-old Fort Qu’Appelle resident had been missing since Thursday night, when he was believed to be seen entering the water.

An intensive search effort involving a plane, boats and ground searchers has been underway since his disappearance.

Officials with the Provincial Coroner’s office have been contacted and are en route to the scene to assist in the investigation.
