Teen Charged Following Shooting In Pelican Narrows

A 16-year-old Pelican Narrows boy is facing several charges following the shooting of another teen last week.

The unidentified suspect, who is making a court appearance today, has been charged with aggravated assault, careless use of a firearm, possession of an unauthorized firearm, and resisting/obstructing a peace officer, as well as mischief under $5,000.

The Pelican Narrows RCMP say, at around 10:30 Friday morning, they responded to a report of a boy who had been shot.

The suspect was arrested some time later.

The 17-year-old victim was treated at the Flin Flon hospital, and has since been released.
