The list of candidates has been finalized for an upcoming band election in Saskatchewan’s far north.

One man is challenging the current chief for the right to lead the Black Lake First Nation.

Next week, voters will decide whether or not to give incumbent chief Donald Sayeze another term or hand the reins over to challenger David Bigeye.

Another 20 people are vying for seven seats on the band council.

The election will take place on June 11th.
