Woman Found Dead On Northern Highway

The RCMP are looking for the public’s help in identifying a woman found dead on a highway near Big River yesterday morning.

The woman was found on Highway 942, about 28 kilmetres north of Highway 55, at 9:00 a.m.

RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Carole Raymond says she appears to be in her mid-20s or early-30s, has a short stature with a medium-to-heavy build, and was wearing a pink shirt and black pants.

An autopsy is taking place today which Raymond hopes will give the RCMP a preliminary cause of death.
