Big River Mayor Brian Brownfield says a Centre of Excellence for the Big River First Nation is a win-win for the whole area.

It was announced this week that the Big River First Nation is receiving 1.66 million dollars for a centre of excellence.

The facility will be a central location to foster small business.

It will also offer job training and counselling for job opportunities.

Brownfield says job training in community in the area can benefit the entire area.

Brownfield says all development in the North helps make a stronger North.
