Issues Facing Metis Youth Focus Of Proposed Plan

A new blueprint is being developed by the Metis National Council to tackle issues facing Metis children.

At a conference last week in Winnipeg, the MNC announced it was embarking on the ten-year plan.

President Clem Chartier says the strategy will target problems facing youth, including drug addiction, sexual abuse and gangs.

Chartier says the MNC will decide whether or not to adopt the blueprint at its general assembly next month in Saskatoon.
