Man Killed After Boat Hits Rocks

A man is dead following an apparent boating accident near Stanley Mission.

 

Shortly after 1:00 p.m. last Thursday, Mounties received a report of a boat that was stuck on the rocks of the Churchill River.

 

When officers got there, they discovered the body of a 35-year-old man.

 

Investigators have determined that the man died as a result of injuries sustained when the boat hit the rocks.

 

At this point, the death is considered accidental.

 

The name of the victim is not being released at the request of the family.
