Missing Woman’s Remains Discovered In River

The body of a missing 34-year-old woman from the Red Earth First Nation was discovered over the weekend.

Francis Nawakayas went missing from the community last week, prompting a search of the area.

Mounties say her remains were discovered in the river on the reserve Saturday afternoon by local residents.

An autopsy has been ordered.

RCMP say the death is not considered suspicious.
