PAGC Women Awarded Scholarships

The Prince Albert Grand Council Women’s Commission held its annual banquet last night.

The organization is celebrating its 20th year in existence.

Six women from communities throughout the province’s north were honoured with scholarships.

They include Jodi McNabb and Freda Randhile of Fond du Lac, Virginia McKay of Cumberland House, Leanne Highway of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation, Anita Parenteau of Sturgeon Lake and Denise Whitehead of James Smith.

All of the women will receive $500 each.
