The Muskowekwan First Nation continues to grieve after three young citizens died in a tragic accident Sunday night.

RCMP say what’s emerged from the two-day investigation is that the 14-year-old survivor, Chase Moise, did everything he could to save the others in the vehicle.

Two 10-year-old girls and the 18-year-old male driver died on the scene after the car they were in flipped over into a ditch full of water.

Sgt. Paul Dawson says Moise then pulled the driver from the car, performed CPR on him and then tried to get the two girls out.

However, the driver died of his injuries and Moise was unable to get the girls out of the car.

He eventually ran for help.

Dawson says Moise emerged from the crash in relatively good health.

The investigation continues.
