Sandy Bay Man Struck By Vehicle

Police say it appears a northern man was standing on the road when he was hit by a vehicle last night near Prince Albert.

 

The accident happened on Highway 55 near the city’s pulp mill.

 

The 38-year-old resident of Sandy Bay was taken to hospital in Saskatoon in serious condition.

 

Police say his injuries are life-threatening.

 

An investigation is underway.

 

According to police, the 27-year-old driver that hit the man got out to help him and diverted traffic until paramedics arrived.
