AFN Lauds Bloc Effort To Improve Native Education

Assembly of First Nations National Chief Shawn Atleo welcomes draft legislation introduced by the Bloc Quebecois.

Bill C-599 is aimed at strengthening First Nations education.

It calls on Parliament and Canada to work with First Nations to take action on education.

Atleo says First Nationd education is funded under an outdated policy and annual funding increases have been capped at only 2% for over a decade.
