Charges Laid In Assault On Pregnant Woman

Charges have been laid against a 15-year-old boy after an attack on a pregnant women on the White Bear First Nation.
The youth can’t be named due to his age.
However, it is alleged he attacked a 21-year-old woman back on June 20th.
It was then Mounties responded to a complaint of an assault at a residence and discovered the woman suffering from life-threatening injuries.
The women, who was in the late stages of her pregnancy, was rushed to hospital.
The baby was delivered in serious condition.
In the end, both the baby and the mother survived.
However, the RCMP’s Sgt. Paul Dawson says the baby still requires medical care.
Dawson says the youth faces charges of aggravated assault, breaking and entering and robbery.
He will next appear in court on November 24th.
