The Federal Committee on the Status of Women is making a trip to Prince Albert this week.
The committee will hold a hearing at the Prince Albert Inn to hear from local organizations about the problem of violence against Aboriginal women.
Lisa Cook is the urban aboriginal coordinator with the Prince Albert Metis women’s group.
She says the meeting is a good opportunity to sit down with the senate members and talk about the root causes behind the problem.
The meeting begins at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon inside the Prince Albert Inn.
