A 23-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries following a race between two snowmobiles on a residential street on the Hatchet Lake First Nation.
RCMP say they received a complaint about the incident at around 3:40 Monday morning.
According to the Mounties, the victim was the operator of one of the machines.
RCMP say he lost control of his sled, was thrown from it, and hit a large boulder.
He was found next to the boulder, and was not wearing a helmet.
The victim was eventually airlifted to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.
RCMP say the other snowmobiler fled the scene, and they are requesting the public’s assistance in tracking down that individual.
