Native War Veteran Noticing More Political Support

A First Nations war veteran says he thinks Saskatchewan Politicians are showing more interest in veterans affairs these days.

Phillip Ledoux is one of many veterans who are assembling on the Whitecap Dakota First Nation today for their annual assembly.

He says he feels more MLAs are finally speaking up for them.

Ledoux adds the federal Minister of Veterans Affairs, Jean-Pierre Blackburn, has also been very responsive to their concerns.

Today’s agenda items include updates on issues such as the fight for compensation, grave markers, public relations and fundraising.
