An RCMP constable took the stand in Meadow Lake yesterday to testify about the chain of events that led to the freezing death of a teenager in Beauval.
Constable Mitch Perry was on duty the night of January 10th, 2009.
He told a coroner`s inquest that`s when he responded to a call for assistance from Doreen Lariviere.
He said the only information he received from dispatch was that a party was going on with several youths drinking and partying around 4 a.m.
He was told one of them was suicidal, although he wasn`t given a name as to who it was.
A videotape was then played showing Constable Perry exiting his vehicle to unlock the bay-door of the detachment office in Beauval.
The same tape also showed Kyle Lariviere putting his arm through the open window of the cruiser, unlocking the door and fleeing on foot.
More testimony continues today.
