It took a jury the better part of two days to find a Prince Albert man not guilty in the murder of his three year-old step son.

31 year-old Jordan Crowe was accused of causing fatal head injuries to three year-old Dilyn Donald in December of 2007.

Twice the jury came out to tell the judge they could not agree on a verdict.

However each time the judge ordered them back into chambers to see if they could reach an agreement.

It finally occurred around 4:30 Friday afternoon, 16 hours after they first began deliberating.

Speaking outside the courthouse, Crowe’s lawyer, Greg Chovin said his client was relieved by the decison and looking forward to getting on with his life.

Meanwhile the Crown said an appeal is unlikely.
