The Metis Nation-Saskatchewan and the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations are encouraging young people to get involved in the federal election.

A rally called “Rock The Vote” is being held in Saskatoon tomorrow afternoon at the Core Neighbourhood Youth Co-op.

FSIN Chief Guy Lonechild says Metis and First Nations youth can have an impact on the election results, and he’s hoping greater than 55 per cent of eligible Aboriginal youth voters will cast ballots on Monday.

MN-S President Robert Douchette says it’s important for Aboriginal youth to understand the issues, and add their vote.
