A 23-year-old La Ronge man has elected trial by Queen’s Bench judge and jury in the death of a 40-year-old man in February.

Corey Alexander Clarke appeared in La Ronge Provincial Court on Monday.

He was arrested after the body of a man was found on a road at Bells Point on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.

An autopsy was done on the victim’s body and investigators determined it was a suspicious death.

Clarke was then arrested and charged with manslaughter.

He’s back in court on April 18th to have a date set for a preliminary hearing.
