A mother from the Beardy’s and Okemasis First Nation gave birth in an ambulance yesterday.
The 24-year-old woman was already experiencing contractions when paramedics got to her home on the reserve.
They had to pull over on highway 11, however, when the mother felt the need to push.
Paremedic Dustin Seidler says that’s when the baby was born.
Seider says both mother and baby were then taken to Rosthern Hospital and are doing fine.
