Big River Gets Investment Dollars

Two million dollars from the Community Development Trust Fund is going into the town of Big River.

Much of the funding is earmarked for tourism and forestry.

Mayor Brian Brownfield says they’re also hoping the money can help re-start their sawmill.

The tourism component includes upgrades to the airstrip, road to the Ness Cree Music Festival and snowmobiling trails.

The regional park will also be expanded.
