BTC Invests in Air Cargo Terminal

A band council in the Battlefords is investing in Alberta to obtain more money.

The Battlefords Tribal Council has invested in a $6 million air cargo terminal to be built at the Edmonton Interational Airport.

BTC spokesman Russ Brown says core funding from the federal government has been frozen for about 20 years; so, BTC is investing elsewhere to generate income.

Edmonton International Airport officials say their goal is to become the number one transport hub in all of North America.
