Cheaters Sentenced

Sentences were handed out today to two men who pleaded guilty to cheating at North Battleford’s Gold Eagle Casino.

27-year-old Rueben Bear got a one-year suspended sentence and 37-year-old Wade Wang got a one-year conditional discharge.

Both are on probation for a year.

Wang was ordered to pay 25-hundred dollars restitution while Bear was ordered to pay over twelve hundred dollars.

Crown Prosecutor Mitch Piche says the men sentenced today were minor offenders in the matter.

Three men considered to be major offenders will be dealt with next month.
