A prominent First Nations chief says he thinks child and family services agencies on reserves should be reviewed.

Glen Pratt is commenting on news the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations is trying to develop its own child and family services act.

The George Gordon First Nation chief says he thinks a children’s advocate from another province might best be suited to do the work.

He realizes some agencies might be leery of going before their peers, but he believes it would be for the best.

Pratt adds the review might work better if all the agencies in Saskatchewan entered into it as a whole.
